Discord Rules
Welcome to USA Border Roleplay. We kindly request that you read over the guidelines to ensure a pleasant gaming experience. Failure to follow the rules will result in moderation actions.
Terms Of Service
All members are required to follow the platform’s Terms of Service. This includes, but is not limited to, guidelines related to user behavior, content sharing, and age requirements. Any violation of the Terms of Service may result in an immediate ban, regardless of whether other rules have been broken. This rule ensures legal compliance and the basic integrity of the community.
Respect and Harassment
Respect all members, moderators, and staff at all times. Harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, threats, or any discriminatory behavior based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, or other personal attributes will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Debates and disagreements are acceptable, but they must remain civil and constructive.
Inappropriate or Sensitive Conversations
Do not engage in discussions that are excessively controversial, disturbing, or inappropriate for a general community space. This includes, but is not limited to, politics, religion, violence, self-harm, or any illegal activities. If a topic makes others uncomfortable or creates tension, it is not appropriate for this community.
Adult and NSFW Content
Posting or discussing any form of sexually explicit, suggestive, or otherwise adult content is strictly prohibited. This includes images, videos, messages, usernames, and links. We aim to maintain a safe and inclusive space for users of all ages.
Suspicious or Harmful Links
Do not post any links that lead to malware, phishing websites, IP grabbers, or any suspicious or unverified third-party sites. If you are unsure whether a link is safe, ask a moderator before sharing it. Posting harmful links may lead to an immediate ban.
Advertising and Self-Promotion
Unsolicited advertising or self-promotion is not allowed. This includes links to personal social media, YouTube channels, Discord servers, products, or services. If you wish to promote something, contact the staff for permission. Repeated or stealth advertising is considered spam.
Spam and Repetitive Messages
Avoid posting repeated or irrelevant messages, text walls, emoji spam, or using bots in ways that flood the chat. Spam disrupts conversations and makes it difficult for others to participate. This also includes repeatedly tagging users without reason.
Ping Etiquette
Do not ping users or staff without a valid reason. Overuse or misuse of mentions (especially @everyone or @here) is considered disruptive and can lead to a warning or mute. Only mention someone if it’s necessary and relevant to the conversation.
Nicknames and Usernames
Usernames and nicknames must be appropriate, readable, and non-offensive. Names that include slurs, impersonation, disruptive symbols, or excessive characters will be changed or removed by staff. Avoid using invisible characters or impersonating others.
Common Sense
Use common sense. Not all situations can be covered by a rule, so if something seems like a bad idea, it probably is. Staff reserves the right to act on behavior that harms the community, even if it isn't explicitly mentioned here. Don’t try to exploit loopholes — just be fair, honest, and cooperative.
Impersonation
Do not impersonate staff, public figures, or other community members. This includes using similar usernames, profile pictures, or falsely claiming to have authority or special permissions. Impersonation can lead to immediate disciplinary action.
Political or Religious Discussions
Avoid initiating or escalating political, religious, or other ideologically sensitive conversations unless the server is specifically intended for those discussions. These topics can easily cause division and hostility, even when well-intentioned.
Doxxing and Privacy Violations
Absolutely no sharing of personal information — yours or anyone else's. This includes real names, addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, private conversations, or any other private data. Violations may lead to immediate bans and will be taken seriously.
Recording or Streaming Without Consent
Recording voice chats, livestreaming, or capturing any media from within the server without the knowledge and consent of involved users is strictly prohibited. Always ask first, especially in private or voice channels.
Moderation Evasion
Do not attempt to evade moderation actions (e.g., bans, mutes, or warnings) by using alternate accounts, changing usernames, or other deceptive methods. Doing so will lead to more severe consequences.
Trolling and Provocation
Do not intentionally provoke, bait, or troll other users, even as a joke. This includes sarcastic or passive-aggressive behavior designed to annoy or upset others. Playful humor is welcome — disruptive behavior is not.
Event and Giveaway Rules
When participating in events or giveaways, follow all stated rules carefully. Do not use multiple accounts, bots, or exploit loopholes to gain unfair advantages. Anyone found cheating will be disqualified and may be punished.
Bot Use
Do not misuse bots. Use commands appropriately and in the correct channels if bots are available. Abusing bot features, spamming commands, or interfering with automated systems may lead to restrictions.
Media Sharing Policy
All images, videos, and media shared in the community must be safe for work, relevant, and free of disturbing content. Gore, graphic violence, jumpscares, or shock content is not allowed. Always use designated channels for media sharing, and never share anything that could be considered offensive or triggering.
